Launched in 2011 by Ingrid Brochard, the MuMo is a mobile museum for contemporary art.
Thought by french designer matali crasset as a place of sharing, the new version of MuMo is modular and user-friendly. It has been designed to move the collections of the Regional funds for contemporary art towards people in France.
About twenty stopovers to meet the public
From June to November 2018, the MuMo2 will be roaming in the eastern region of France (Grand-Est) and will meet schoolchildren but also residents by offering workshops, visits and local events.
It will display "Trésors Communs", an exhibition imagined by the 3 Regional funds for contemporary art in this region: Frac Alsace, Frac Champagne-Ardenne and Frac Lorraine.
The PSA Foundation, a sponsor of the tour, invites you to follow the MuMo route and to come and discover the exhibition near you:
- in June 2018: in the Community of Communes of the Upper Val d'Alzette (54) and the Urban Community of St Dizier, Der and Blaise (52)
- in July: Bar-le-Duc (55), Epinal (88), St Avold (57), the Community of Communes of the Valley of Munster (68) ...
And many other places and dates until November to be detailed on www.musee-mobile.fr.
"- Is there a new MuMo exhibition coming back soon?
- Well, it is complicated as you are in your last school grade and the MuMo returns every three years ...
- But we are ready to repeat the grade!"
