On October 1, 2020, Mr. Peslier, director of the Charleville site, welcomed Mr. Martinez, president and director of the Musée du Louve and Mr. Lafaye, director of Fondation PSA for the inauguration of the brand new traveling exhibition "Figure d'Artist".
"It is a project that is both simple and overly ambitious. Simple because it's a small traveling exhibition, with only reproductions of works. It's outsize because it's about bringing a moment of culture into the world of work with people who don't necessarily go to the museum," says Jean-Luc Martinez.
In preview and until October 30, the employees of Charleville-Mézières are invited to come and discover this exhibition located in the heart of the factory in the foundry workshops. At the heart of a real artist's workshop, a mediator from the Louvre presents artists and their place in society through numerous self-portraits, giving the keys to making the most of this exhibition.
The travelling exhibition will then continue its journey outside the factory to the Rimbaud Museum and the Reims Champagne Ardennes University to allow as many people as possible to learn about art.
