Conceived by a designer, Matal Crasset, Mumo2, free Mobile Museum, shares within rural areas and political neighborhoods of the city art exhibitions from the Regional Funds of Contemporary Art* (FRAC) with one mission in mind: reduce the cultural fracture due to the geographical and social isolation of museums.
The launch of itinerary exhibitions has been set for the 2017-2018 season!

MUMO2 is at first a tractor-trailer entirely redesigned by the designer Matali Crasset and conceived as a modular workshop. New external spaces that deploy themselves as wings have been added on both sides of the truck, sheltering small places for the public to settle before or after the exhibition. The artist has confessed working in order to “bring hospitality and conviviality in and around the truck”.
MUMO2 will therefore be able to meet the children where they live, let them discover art creations, arouse their curiosity and let their emotions express themselves.

Inaugurated on the 28th of April on the Place de la République in Paris in the presence of its sponsors and partners, the first MuMo2 exhibition, “Exquis!” was conjointly conceived by the FRACs from Ile-De-France and Normandy (Rouen and Caen). This exhibition will circulate in these regions from May to October 2017.
MUMO2 will continue its course in Pays de la Loire between November 2017 and February 2018, then in the “Great East” region from march to August 2018. The FRAC collections belonging to regions, the exhibitions will change along the various identities of the regions on which the Mumo will settle.
