Acquiring a passenger-transport vehicle

The organisation is seeking to acquire a bus to replace its current end-of-life vehicle, to be used to transport teachers working in the slums of Mokattam in Cairo.

The school was founded in 1982 by Sister Emmanuelle, Sister Sara and Jean Sage, her right-hand man since 1974. Today it is managed by Sister Sara. Taking in more than 800 children for the 2014/2015 school year, the establishment, with the support of Egypt's Education Ministry, brings hundreds of young girls access to education.

The results speak for themselves. In 2014, 100% of the children passed their exams and three 10-11 year-old pupils ranked among the top ten in Egypt. The 52 high-school students obtained their high-school diploma and have registered for higher education. The Foundation's support concerns assistance for acquiring the passenger-transport vehicle.
